            Central Mechanical Workshop

The KDAW Mechanical Workshop was built on a 10 Acre Land in Athurugiriya to solely to act as hub for machinery servicing, repairing and stores.  The workshop was designed to enable work to be executed with ease. It is equipped with 5 working bays, a washing bay, tinkering bay, lathe machines and along with a gantry crane, even jobs such as engine overhauls are undertaken.

In an effort to be a responsible employer and to further aid our compliance to ISO 14001 EMS and 18001 OHSAS regulations, all surface discharge such as oils and water are collected, treated and reused where possible thereby reducing ground contamination, in addition a rain water harvesting plant was built to provide water for washing machinery.
